Data Implementation Lead
Location: 100% Remote

Overview
You will be at the forefront of integrating customer data with our product. You will lead complex data onboarding efforts, providing deep analytical insights to help our customers maximize the value they get from our platform. This role is for a technically skilled, data-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and loves problem-solving with data, while also working directly with customers and executives to drive successful product adoption.In practical terms, that looks like:
- Hands-on & scrappy: Build the systems and processes around data onboarding while executing them. Prototype, iterate, and deliver faster than the competition.
- Bias for action: Focus on driving data integration and analysis with speed.
- Many hats, fluid scope: Split your day between analyzing complex data issues in BigQuery, consulting with data engineers, and working directly with customers to ensure smooth data onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Onboarding & Integration Leadership (60%)
- Lead the end-to-end data onboarding process for customers, ensuring data is successfully integrated into the platform, and customers are able to extract actionable insights.
- Leverage your customer data expertise (including your understanding of Salesforce objects and data relationships) to optimally map customer data into the Reef data platform.
- Work closely with Data, RevOps, and Product customer teams to optimize data quality, troubleshoot issues, and drive the data integration process forward.
- Partner with external customers and executive stakeholders to ensure the data onboarding process aligns with customer objectives and success metrics.
- Provide insights from data analysis to improve onboarding strategies and uncover opportunities for product and process optimization.
2. Data Analysis & Troubleshooting (30%)
- Utilize BigQuery/SQL and other tools to analyze large datasets, troubleshoot issues, and identify trends to enable us to optimally map customer data for machine learning.
- Collaborate with data engineers to quickly resolve data problems, ensuring that customers’ data is clean, accurate, and ready for machine learning.
- Leverage LLMs and other AI tools to accelerate data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and discover insights faster.
- Deliver clear, well-structured analysis and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Product Input & Requirement Definition (10%)
- Analyze customer data and translate insights into actionable product recommendations.
- Champion data-driven product improvements and ensure feedback from data onboarding is incorporated into future product releases.
Skills & Qualifications
- Data Analysis Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL (BigQuery or similar databases) with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex data issues. Comfort in identifying patterns across large datasets and generating insights from data.
- Salesforce Fluency: Experience with Salesforce systems, particularly understanding and navigating Salesforce objects (contracts, subscriptions, line items) and using Salesforce Object Manager to uncover and analyze data.
- Customer-Facing Experience with Data Focus: Experience working with customers in data-heavy roles, such as data onboarding, implementation, or consulting. You must be comfortable explaining data issues and working with customers to resolve data-related concerns.
- AI-Savvy: Proficiency in using AI tools such as LLMs to accelerate problem-solving, data analysis, and workflow automation.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to dive deep into data, find common patterns, and translate those into solutions that improve data quality for the data onboarding process. You can dive into individual records in Salesforce to determine underlying data issues and expand the analysis across all customer records to determine impact of the issue.
- Technical Translation: Able to translate customer data needs into actionable requirements for engineering and data teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to solve complex data challenges quickly and effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with data onboarding and data integration in SaaS environments, preferably in early-stage startups or high-growth companies.
- Previous work with data engineering teams to resolve data issues and integrate large datasets across systems.
- Experience using AI and machine learning tools to accelerate data analysis and prototyping.
- Exposure to management or strategy consulting with a focus on data-driven decision-making and insights.

- Compensation: $120K-$150K base salary, with equity
- Location: 100% Remote, with preference for Seattle, WA for quarterly collaborations
